Please, Let's Not Play with Fire: Understanding the Risks of DIY EMF Solutions

Most times when I introduce myself for the first time and mention that I no longer practice medicine but instead conduct research and offer solutions against EMF, people find it interesting, and that’s where it ends. They fail to see the need to learn about EMF and apply it to their lives.

Other times, when I encounter people who are aware of the EMF situation, their usual reaction is to give me their opinion, often attempting to school me about EMFs. Most of the time, I nod and don’t say anything about the subject. I have no intention of embarrassing anyone by asserting my expertise, but it’s worth noting that my medical background and over 18 years of studying EMF from a physics perspective give me substantial knowledge in this area.

This is what worries me.

Especially because many individuals already believe they know everything there is to know about EMF, having watched numerous YouTube videos. Consequently, they assume they should be schooling me, and I should be thankful for their advice.

This is very worrisome. I belong to some forums where the main topic is serious health problems caused or exacerbated by EMF. The stories of people suffering from these issues are heartbreaking. However, I cringe every time I read some of the advice they receive from individuals who are uninformed, despite their good intentions.

Real Life Example

One example of the dangers of DIY EMF shielding comes from a client in Oklahoma who hired me because his daughter was very sensitive to EMF. After researching, he purchased EMF shielding paint (which, I prefer to clarify, are particles designed to capture electric fields) and grounded it into the grounding prong of the electric outlet. However, the minute his daughter entered the newly shielded room, she felt worse. What happened was that high frequencies got trapped, and the ground prong of the electric outlet became contaminated. Consequently, the low frequency and transient responses to the load (dirty electricity) polluted the shielding layer, exacerbating the issue rather than resolving it.

EMF is a serious problem:

  1. It’s Invisible: Thinking that the problem is solved by covering the walls with tinfoil is dangerous. In reality, this doesn’t solve the issue; it may not even make a dent or could potentially worsen it. My point is, because EMFs are invisible, how do you know if your solution has worked in your favor?
  1. EMFs are complex: Sometimes, I’m contacted by clients who have misconceptions. For example, they may want me to measure only one type of EMF and fail to understand why I can’t focus solely on one room of the house. I’ll expand on this point in another section.
  1. EMF Meters: There are different qualities of meters; simply having a meter in your hands doesn’t make people experts in EMF.
  1. Readings Analysis (Using Equations): No one talks about reading analysis online, on YouTube, in books, or anywhere else. Over a period of 10 years, I’ve developed a series of equations that, when applied to the readings from professional meters, provide a clearer picture of the EMF situation in a house, offering a closer look at the EMF problem. (remember EMF are invisible)

Once you have an accurate diagnosis, it's time to plan a strategy to improve the situation.

In conclusion, I have dedicated more than a decade and a half to seriously studying the EMF problem, from deep biology to deep physics, so I can help. However, I also need help. I wish we could have a team of people following the right protocols with the right equipment in every city. Additionally, I wish effective shielding products could be manufactured locally; currently, most products must be imported and then enhanced here because they are not strong enough to combat the astonishing amount of EMF present. The community needs my help, and at the same time, I need the help of the community.

My advice is to get a professional EMF Home Assessment. Unfortunately, such services are not widely available outside of Austin, TX. Additionally, I strongly advise against attempting to shield EMF radiation by yourself. Without a Medical Grade Grounding System, you risk trapping radiation, and using the ground prong from the electric outlet in your house is the biggest mistake. However, what is within your control is the amount of EMF you produce inside the house. Simply turning off the electricity from the breaker box (while leaving the AC and the fridge on) can make a significant difference. While it won’t solve the problem entirely, it will lower exposure and prevent it from worsening.”
